Our Process

1

Evaluate Your Electrical System

We inspect your panel capacity, available breaker slots, and the distance from the panel to your preferred charger location.

2

Recommend the Right Setup

We advise on charger placement, circuit size, and whether a panel upgrade is needed to safely support the charger.

3

Install the Dedicated Circuit

Our electrician runs a dedicated 240-volt circuit with the correct wire gauge, breaker, and weatherproof outlet or hardwired connection.

4

Mount, Connect, and Test

We mount the charger, complete all connections, and verify the unit is charging your vehicle correctly.

Home EV Charging Done Right

More Central Florida homeowners are making the switch to electric vehicles every year, and a Level 2 home charger is the most convenient way to keep your vehicle ready to go. Plugging into a standard wall outlet works in a pinch, but it can take 40 hours or more to fully charge a modern EV battery. A dedicated 240-volt Level 2 charger cuts that time down to roughly eight hours, giving you a full charge while you sleep.

Frank’s AC has been providing licensed electrical services (EC13011623) to the St. Cloud, Kissimmee, and greater Central Florida area since 1990. We bring the same attention to safety and code compliance to every EV charger installation that our customers expect from all of our work.

What Goes Into a Professional EV Charger Installation

Installing an EV charger is more than mounting a unit on the wall. It starts with a thorough evaluation of your electrical panel to confirm it has enough capacity and available breaker space for a new high-amperage circuit. From there, we run properly sized wiring from the panel to the charger location, install the correct breaker, and either set up a NEMA 14-50 outlet or hardwire the charger directly depending on the manufacturer’s requirements. Every connection is made to code and tested before we hand you the keys to hassle-free home charging.

Supporting Every Major EV Charger Brand

Whether you drive a Tesla, Ford, Chevrolet, Hyundai, Rivian, or any other electric vehicle, we install the charger that fits your needs. We work with all major charger brands including Tesla Wall Connector, ChargePoint Home Flex, Emporia, Grizzl-E, and JuiceBox. If you have already purchased a charger, we install it. If you need guidance choosing one, we are happy to help you select the right unit based on your vehicle, driving habits, and budget.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does my electrical panel need to be upgraded to support an EV charger?

It depends on your current panel capacity and how much of that capacity is already in use. Most Level 2 EV chargers require a 40-amp or 50-amp dedicated circuit. If your panel is a 100-amp unit that is already near its limit, an upgrade to 200 amps may be necessary. Our electrician evaluates this during the initial assessment so there are no surprises.

What is the difference between Level 1 and Level 2 charging?

Level 1 charging uses a standard 120-volt household outlet and adds roughly three to five miles of range per hour. Level 2 charging uses a 240-volt circuit and delivers approximately 25 to 30 miles of range per hour, which means a full charge overnight for most electric vehicles. We recommend Level 2 for the most practical home charging experience.

Can you install an EV charger in my garage and outdoors?

Yes. We install chargers in garages, carports, and exterior walls. Outdoor installations include weatherproof electrical boxes and conduit rated for Florida's climate. We help you choose the best location based on where you park, how far the run is from your panel, and your daily charging routine.
